If you’re interested in developing software for a living, or as a hobby, there is a lot you need to know. But do not get discouraged. Oh, and believe me, there will be times that it will. That “little voice” will seem very loud at times and it may even seem like it has a point, but remember this. It never does. It is never right. I always try to remember what a former martial arts instructor once told me. I asked him who he thought would win this one MMA fight that was being shown on pay-perview. Once you start getting the general hang of it, you will find learning how to develop software gets easier. Listen close. I did not say it was easy. I just said, it will get easier in comparison to how you felt in the beginning. This will happen when you find the learning technique that works best for you. For me, I learn best in a classroom setting. Some people like to do it on their own by using Google, technical blogs and buying books. They spend many hours in front of their computer by themselves. While, I do that too and can find it effective, I think it is because I have years of learning behind me already. I have the foundation. However, I think for a new student programmer, you need a coach or mentor. You need a teacher. Otherwise, that little voice in your head has a better chance of getting in your way and when that happens, the drive to learn goes away. You will end up putting your plans to learn programming on hold for a bit….perhaps for months…perhaps years.

A year ago I was looking for the best animation software for Mac for home use. I had never animated before and I had no idea what I was looking for. I did not have much money at the time. I did not spend much money either. I can start things sometimes, and easily bored.

I started with the product so inexpensive and did a great for me at the time as a beginner. It works really well for beginners to semi-pro animators. I now use Poser, but at the time Illusion Mage for $ 47 was amazing and I recommend it to anyone who wants to start with better animation software for Mac and PC.

I bought it for $ 47, reduced by nearly $ 100 (it’s still at this price cut today) and it was a brilliant decision on my part. It was easy to understand and basically taught me how to animate.

Illusion Mage is designed for beginners and advanced users. As a beginner myself at that time, I was impressed by how friendly the package was. Unlike the free 3D animation software I downloaded before, with Illusion Mage, I started to create digital animation immediately. It was a lot to do with the excellent video tutorials and support pages. You just do not get with free software and unstable.

The video tutorials explain everything you need to know about 3D animation program and step by step instructions on what to do for beginners. Combined with all the manuals makes the learning process much easier. I created my first project within hours of downloading everything.
